How it works

Two categories: basic salary up to AED 16,000 pays AED 5 a month for a benefit capped at AED 10,000; above AED 16,000 pays AED 10 a month for a cap of AED 20,000. The benefit is 60% of average basic salary for up to three months per claim, after 12 consecutive months of subscription and provided you were not dismissed for disciplinary reasons.

Formula

Premium = AED 5 or 10 per month + 5% VAT
Benefit = min(60% × basic, cap) × up to 3 months

Worked example

Basic AED 15,000: AED 63 a year; benefit AED 9,000 a month for 3 months = AED 27,000.
