How it works

Hours = end − start − unpaid break. If the end time is earlier than the start, the shift crosses midnight and 24 hours are added. Overtime is counted above the daily threshold and paid at 1.5× by default (UAE 1.25×; change the rate manually).

Formula

Daily hours = (end − start − break)
Decimal hours = minutes ÷ 60
Weekly pay = (regular × rate + OT × rate × 1.5) × days

Worked example

09:00–17:30 with 30 min break: 8 hours; 5 days = 40 hours; at 25 an hour = 1,000 a week.
